RPQ-S Course Content

360UAS has partnered with Resource Group; the industry leading CAA National Qualified Entity (NQE), to deliver the RPQ-S qualification (Remote Pilot Qualification – Small).

  • Pre-course eLearning in the form of web based training modules covering basic aviation principles, which allows you to learn at your own pace and in your own time.
  • The 2 day UAV ground school training is delivered by highly experienced industry experts and is based on an approved set of CAA required standards.
  • The theory exam takes place on day 2 and successful completion is a mandatory requirement before being able to complete the practical Flight Assessment. A free exam resit is available should a candidates be unsuccessful at their first attempt.
  • Assistance in the production and format of the candidate's UAV Operations Manual, with dedicated support from instructors with experience in Operations manual development.
  • The Operations Manual is to be completed in your own time and must detail the way in which you will operate your Unmanned Aerial System to conform to CAA Regulations and safety standards.
  • Along with evidence of suitable insurance, the Operations Manual must be completed before the Flight Assessment can take place.
  • The Flight Assessment is designed to test pilot competency on a single drone platform and bring together all of the skills learned in the theory and operations manual steps of the course.
  • You need to have your own drone for the Flight Assessment and we can help with advice on the most suitable UAV platform for your needs should it be required.
  • Dedicated flight experience training on a 1:1 basis with an experienced CAA approved UAV pilot is available as an added cost option. Please get in touch for more details.
  • Assistance in the production of the CAA application (Form SRG 1320) for your PFAW
  • We will provide an independent review of the CAA application, taking the following factors into account: a) Operations Manual, b) Insurance Certificate and c) pilot competency based on the Flight Assessment report.
  • The NQE will provide a formal recommendation with the CAA application for your PFAW.
